Who can take part

  • You have a new diagnosis of higher-risk MDS (not previously treated for this).
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • A specialist says you are eligible to receive a stem cell transplant.
  • You have enough general health to do daily activities (performance status 0–2).
  • You are expected to live at least 3 months, and you can sign consent.
  • You do NOT have AML with more than 20% abnormal cells in blood or bone marrow, and you don’t have certain other serious conditions (like major organ disease).
