Oral nutrition support before hip or knee replacement
Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.
This trial tests whether an oral nutrition plan given before elective hip or knee replacement can help people with low nutrition (“malnutrition”) do better after surgery. If you’re a candidate for surgery and meet lab signs of poor nutrition, you may be asked to take an oral supplement by mouth.
