Preventing heart events in people with type 2 diabetes
Part of Heart & circulation, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.
This trial tests a heart-focused prevention approach to lower the risk of cardiac (heart) events in adults with type 2 diabetes. It may help by targeting early stress on the heart measured with a specific blood test.

This trial tests an intervention to help adults with type 2 diabetes who have “high-normal” blood pressure (not severely high). If you qualify, you may learn whether this approach improves blood pressure and related health outcomes over time.
This study looks at how newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes affects heart and blood vessel health. Researchers will follow patients over time to understand the relationship between diabetes and cardiovascular risk.
This trial studies how diabetes medicines (GLP-1 and SGLT2, alone or together) affect the heart in people with type 2 diabetes who are at higher cardiovascular risk and have heart failure with preserved pumping function. It may help find safer or more effective ways to reduce heart problems.
This trial tests a wearable chest sensor (called HEMOTAG) to monitor heart events in people with long-standing Type 2 diabetes who also have heart disease or specific diabetes-related complications. The sensor is worn at home for short periods to catch early signs of heart trouble, aiming to improve personalized care.
This study is testing whether a special heart-focused clinic can help people with type 2 diabetes who also have heart or blood vessel problems. If you have both diabetes and a heart condition like prior heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or hard-to-control high blood pressure, this program may support your health.
This Phase 4 trial studies an approach to help prevent heart problems in adults with type 2 diabetes who are at higher heart risk. It may help reduce future cardiovascular events by testing medications for safety and benefit in this group.
