Who can take part

  • You can sign consent and are at least 18 years old
  • You have atrial fibrillation (short, ongoing, or long-term), and your stroke-risk score is at least 2
  • Your brain (intracranial) bleeding happened more than 6 weeks ago
  • Your heart scan shows the left atrial appendage shape is suitable for the closure device
  • You do NOT have a blood clot in the left atrium or left atrial appendage on imaging
  • You are not dealing with major issues like severe liver failure, serious infection, pregnancy, or very limited function
