Who can take part
- You are age 3 or older and weigh more than 12 kg
- You have severe aplastic anemia with low bone marrow activity (under 30%) plus very low blood cell counts
- Your blood tests show at least two problems such as very low neutrophils, very low platelets, or low reticulocytes
- You have not previously taken key treatments like ATG, cyclosporine, alemtuzumab, high-dose cyclophosphamide, or eltrombopag
- Recent liver and kidney labs are not too abnormal (liver enzymes/bilirubin not more than 2.5x/1.5x high limits; kidney filtering rate at least 40)
- You can safely take the medicines (no major heart disease, major infections not controlled, and you can swallow and join study visits by phone/video)
