Who can take part

  • You are between 14 and 70 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia (SAA), including very severe or hepatitis-related forms.
  • You do not have a brother or sister who is a perfect tissue match for a stem cell transplant.
  • You are free of HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C infections.
  • You have no other medical condition that would make a stem cell transplant or immune-suppressing therapy too risky.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form (or have a family member or guardian do it for you).
