Who can take part
- Be age 18 to 45 years old
- Have a recent HbA1c under 6.5% (average blood sugar not in diabetes range)
- Have a body mass index in the normal range (17–25) or in the obese range (over 30)
- Have normal kidney and liver test results (creatinine not too high; ALT/AST not more than 2.5x normal)
- Be able to do MRI/MRS testing (you can lie still in the scanner)
