- You have multiple sclerosis, diagnosed by a neurologist experienced with MS
- You (or, if you are a healthy volunteer) are able to follow study instructions for scanning
- You can lie still on the PET-CT scanner bed for about 10–20 minutes during the scan
- You are not currently pregnant and not breastfeeding
- You do not have diabetes or other hormone/metabolic problems, and you do not have an active infection
