B-DYN device versus standard fusion for lumbar stenosis

Who can take part

  • Your MRI shows lumbar stenosis affecting 1, 2, or 3 disc levels (or certain central + side narrowing patterns).
  • You have leg symptoms from nerve irritation (neurogenic claudication), with pain level score over 30.
  • Your symptoms have lasted more than 3 months and did not improve with well-managed non-surgical treatment.
  • You’re at least 40 years old and can answer study questionnaires in the study language.
  • Your spine alignment fits: you have no serious slip at the top level (spondylolisthesis grade 1 or none).
  • You should not need surgery on more than 3 disc levels, and you must have no major fusion/surgery safety reasons.
