Who can take part
- Be a man age 18 or older who had the prostate removed (radical prostatectomy) for prostate cancer.
- Have a rising PSA blood test after surgery (biochemical recurrence), with levels/timing that meet the study’s cutoffs.
- Be able to have (and benefit from) standard post-surgery radiation to the prostate bed and pelvic lymph node area, along with hormone therapy (ADT).
- No confirmed cancer spread outside the pelvis on CT/MRI and bone scan within the past 26 weeks (unless PET findings alone are enough at the site).
- Have a qualifying PET scan using an FDA-approved prostate cancer tracer that is done within the required time window, and the scan results must be known for whether cancer is outside the pelvic area.
- Be generally healthy enough for treatment: ECOG performance status 0–2 and blood test ranges (and liver/kidney function) within required limits; also able to lie still for PET and radiation planning.
