Using PSMA-PET to guide less intense radiation for returning prostate cancer

This trial uses a special scan (PSMA-PET) to find where prostate cancer has returned after surgery. Then doctors give a lower dose of radiation only to that area, which may reduce side effects. It is for men whose PSA level is rising after prostate removal.

Who can take part

  • You had surgery (radical prostatectomy) to remove your prostate.
  • Your PSA level is rising again after surgery (biochemical recurrence).
  • A PSMA-PET or MRI scan shows that the cancer is still in the prostate bed or nearby lymph nodes, and not in other parts of the body.
  • You are at least 30 years old and have a life expectancy of more than 5 years.
  • You are in good physical condition (able to do daily activities without major issues).
