Study immune response after first open aortic valve surgery

Aortic Valve DiseaseSurgery--ComplicationsImmune System Disorder

Part of Heart & circulation, Immune system & allergy, Infections clinical trials.

This study looks at how your immune system responds after your first open-heart aortic valve replacement surgery. It may help doctors understand why outcomes differ and how immune changes after surgery affect recovery.

NCT05998694Recruiting
Monitoring a new aortic heart valve for safety and effectiveness

This trial tests how well a new replacement heart valve works and how safe it is. You might qualify if you need a planned first-time aortic valve replacement and are 60-70 years old (or younger if you cannot take blood thinners).

NCT04754217Recruiting
Follow-up study after valve graft replacement

This study looks at outcomes after certain heart valve surgeries using a valved graft. It may help doctors understand how well these grafts work over time in people who have had valve replacement surgery.

Birmingham, Alabama
NCT04234841Recruiting
Study of outcomes after aortic valve replacement

This study follows adults who are having aortic valve replacement (through surgery or a catheter) to see how often certain outcomes happen after the procedure. You may be asked for blood tests and scans at set times, and some people may also be offered a special CT scan.

NCT06805253Recruiting
Heart recovery after surgery for leaky aortic valve

This trial studies how well the heart's main pumping chamber (left ventricle) recovers after surgery to fix a leaky aortic valve. It is for people who also have a leaky mitral valve and an enlarged left ventricle, and who are having their first planned valve surgery.

Moscow
NCT03002272Recruiting
Long-term follow-up after TAVR or surgical valve replacement

This study checks how well an aortic valve replacement works many years after the procedure. It may help doctors understand long-term valve function and identify people who might need closer monitoring.

Washington D.C., District of Columbia
NCT05739253Recruiting
Study how the aorta changes after a valve procedure

This trial looks at how the ascending aorta (the main artery near the heart) changes over time after transcatheter aortic valve replacement. It may help doctors predict who is at risk of aorta enlargement after this less-invasive valve procedure.
