Who can take part

  • You need surgery for a diseased aortic valve, with specific heart scan results
  • Your aortic valve narrowing may be severe, or moderate if you also need bypass surgery
  • You also have mitral valve disease that requires surgery
  • You should not need replacement of two or more heart valves
  • Your heart pumping strength (LVEF) must be 45% or higher
  • You must be able and willing to join the study
