Who can take part

  • You have HPV-positive squamous cell cancer in the oropharynx (tonsil, base of tongue, soft palate, or throat wall), proven by pathology and p16 testing.
  • Your cancer stage is low to intermediate: T1 to T3, and lymph nodes are N0 to N2c (no distant spread).
  • Your scans show measurable tumor at the primary site or neck lymph nodes (certain limited surgery is allowed).
  • Your health is strong enough to complete treatment: you feel well overall (performance status 0–1) and your blood/organ tests are adequate.
  • If you can become pregnant or have sex that could lead to pregnancy, you agree to use reliable contraception during treatment and for at least 60 days after the last treatment.
