Nadroparine to improve recovery after bleeding in the brain

Aneurysmal Subarachnoid HemorrhageDelayed Cerebral Ischemia

Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study tests whether nadroparine (a blood-thinning medicine) can improve outcomes after a type of brain bleed called subarachnoid hemorrhage. It focuses on people who have had a brain aneurysm treated with a procedure soon after the bleed.

Who can take part

  • You have had a confirmed subarachnoid hemorrhage (brain bleeding) on a scan or spinal fluid test
  • The cause was an aneurysm, and it was confirmed on special brain blood-vessel imaging
  • Your aneurysm was treated with a coiling procedure within 72 hours of the bleed
  • You gave consent within 24 hours after the coiling procedure
  • You did not have stent-assisted coiling for the aneurysm

Drain and clot-dissolving medicine for severe aneurysm bleeding

This trial tests whether placing a small drain in the lower back and giving a clot-dissolving medicine (urokinase) into the fluid around the brain can help people recover from a severe bleeding stroke caused by a brain aneurysm. It is for patients who are treated quickly after the bleed.

Milrinone to help prevent brain blood-flow complications after aneurysm bleed

This Phase 2 trial tests whether milrinone, a heart-acting medicine, can improve brain blood flow to help prevent delayed brain ischemia after a severe subarachnoid hemorrhage. It may help reduce later brain damage in people who are too ill or sedated for a normal neurologic exam early on.

Testing Tirofiban to Prevent Stroke After Brain Aneurysm Rupture

This study tests if a medicine called tirofiban (which helps prevent blood clots) can improve recovery after a brain aneurysm rupture. It is for people who have had their aneurysm treated with a coil and are at risk of a delayed stroke.

Cilostazol and nimodipine for better recovery after brain aneurysm bleeding

This trial tests whether adding cilostazol to standard nimodipine treatment helps people recover better after a brain aneurysm bursts. Both drugs aim to prevent delayed complications from the bleeding.

Preventing blood-vessel spasm after aneurysm brain bleeding

This trial studies a spinal fluid (CSF) treatment to help prevent dangerous blood-vessel tightening (vasospasm) after a type of brain bleed caused by an aneurysm. If you qualify, the goal is to reduce complications soon after aneurysm repair.

Early Blood Pressure Treatment After Aneurysm Repair

This study tests whether starting blood pressure treatment soon after surgery or coiling for a brain aneurysm can improve recovery. It is for people who had a bleeding stroke from a ruptured aneurysm and are in the hospital for treatment.
