This trial tests whether giving dornase alfa daily for up to 14 days after a subarachnoid hemorrhage (a type of bleeding around the brain from a burst aneurysm) helps people be more independent 6 months later. It is for people whose bleeding started less than 48 hours ago and whose aneurysm has already been treated.

Who can take part

  • You have had a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding around the brain) from a burst aneurysm.
  • Your symptoms started less than 48 hours ago.
  • The aneurysm has been treated (surgically or with a catheter) in the last 24 hours with no complications.
  • A CT scan before treatment showed significant bleeding (Fisher score higher than 1).
  • Your kidneys work well (no severe kidney disease).
  • You do not have severe infections or known allergies to dornase alfa or related products.
  • You were independent before the hemorrhage (no significant disability).
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or participating in another drug/device trial.
