Study of breathing problems in people with liver scarring on a ventilator

Who can take part

  • You are an adult (age 18 or older).
  • You have cirrhosis, which means long-term liver scarring.
  • You are currently intubated and on a mechanical ventilator (a breathing machine).
  • You are not pregnant.
  • Your urine output is not extremely low (not oliguric).
  • The team can measure your bladder pressure through a catheter (intravesical pressure).
