Who can take part
- You are older than 65 years
- You have severe aortic stenosis or a severely failing bioprosthetic (replacement) valve
- You are scheduled for transfemoral TAVR using a Medtronic Evolut R, Evolut Pro, or Evolut Pro+ valve
- You are not on long-term (“chronic”) blood thinners (anticoagulation)
- You do not have conditions that make blood thinner pills unsafe, including major bleeding problems or abnormal clotting
- Your kidney function is not very low (EGFR 30 or higher)
