  • You are 18 years old or older
  • Ultrasound or CT/CTA shows a carotid plaque thickness of more than 2 mm
  • You can read and sign the study consent form
  • You do not have MRI safety problems (like some pacemakers or other metal/electronic implants)
  • You are not severely medically ill, have dementia, or are currently pregnant
