Who can take part
- Your liver cancer diagnosis is confirmed by biopsy (or meets accepted liver-cancer guideline criteria).
- You have one tumor nodule, with the largest diameter between 3 and 8 cm.
- You are planned to have curative surgery (an operation intended to fully remove the tumor), without needing a pre-surgery procedure to open up the portal vein.
- Your overall ability to do daily activities is not more than limited (performance status 2 or less).
- Your liver function is good enough for treatment (not Child-Pugh B or C decompensated cirrhosis).
- You have no tumor in the portal vein or spread outside the liver, and you have not had anti-cancer treatment in the last 5 years.
