Who can take part
- Be age 40 or older
- Have had an ischaemic stroke or a high-risk TIA, confirmed on a CT or MRI scan
- Had your stroke/TIA between 30 days and 1 year before starting the study
- Live at home and be able to walk without another person’s help (you can still get some help with daily tasks)
- Have higher-than-normal systolic blood pressure (SBP) of 140 or more at the start
- Have kidney function tests showing eGFR at least 50 (from within the last 3 months)
