Who can take part

  • You are a woman, age 18 or older
  • You have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer
  • You have had a mastectomy (breast removal), with or without reconstruction
  • Your cancer is stage II to IIIb (not stage T4, and not spread to distant organs)
  • You plan to get radiation to the chest wall (possibly nearby lymph nodes) soon after surgery
  • You must be able to consent in English or Spanish and be willing to sign the study consent form
