Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are being treated as a hospital patient at Poitiers University Hospital.
- Your stroke involved a blockage in the middle cerebral artery seen on CT or MRI.
- Your stroke severity at admission is moderate to severe (NIHSS score 6 or higher).
- Your care plan includes clot removal treatment (thrombectomy), with or without clot-busting medicine (fibrinolysis).
- You (or your relative) can receive clear, reliable information about the study and agree to participate.
- You can take part in an MRI scan before it starts, or your MRI is safe for you (no MRI safety problems), and you can usually tolerate up to about one hour of scanning.
