  • Age 18 or older
  • Recent stroke caused by a blood clot in a major brain artery (internal carotid, middle cerebral artery, or both)
  • Successfully received endovascular thrombectomy (minimally invasive clot removal procedure) with confirmed clot removal
  • Able to undergo MRI scan and follow breathing instructions during imaging
  • No MRI contraindications such as pacemaker, metallic implants, or pregnancy
  • No severe heart or lung disease, recent heart attack, or uncontrolled seizures
