Who can take part
- You are age 40 or older
- Your stroke happened within the last 2 weeks
- Your stroke severity score (NIHSS) is 16 or lower
- Your stroke was confirmed as ischemic by CT or MRI
- You were independent before the stroke (mRS 0–1)
- You can safely have the required MRI scans and give consent
