Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older, and able to make decisions and sign consent (not pregnant and not breastfeeding).
  • You have a neck problem on imaging (MRI/CT) such as cervical stenosis or disc problems, with nerve pressure causing symptoms like pain or weakness.
  • You are scheduled for an anterior cervical fusion (ACDF) that uses an internal cage (standalone interbody cage) and fixation in the front of the neck.
  • Non-surgery treatments have not helped enough for at least 6 weeks, or you have worsening weakness/atrophy or severe, hard-to-control pain.
  • You do not have major bone-weakening conditions (like osteoporosis or osteomalacia) that could interfere with screw/bone healing.
