Who can take part

  • You are choosing your first reverse shoulder replacement (RTSA) for arthritis or an irreparable rotator cuff tear
  • No cancer (tumor) is present at the shoulder being treated
  • A CT scan shows the subscapularis tendon has low fat damage (Goutallier grade less than 3)
  • You have never had any prior shoulder replacement surgery on that side
  • You can return for follow-up visits for up to 24 months after surgery
