Metformin to help prevent leukemia in certain blood disorders

  • You’re age 18 or older and can sign consent
  • You have LR-MDS (very low/low risk) or CCUS as defined by the study’s tests
  • You have low blood counts for at least 6 months, without other clear causes
  • You have no prior use of metformin and do not have diabetes
  • Kidney function is adequate (eGFR 45 or higher)
