Who can take part
- You’re age 18 or older and can sign consent
- You have LR-MDS (very low/low risk) or CCUS as defined by the study’s tests
- You have low blood counts for at least 6 months, without other clear causes
- You have no prior use of metformin and do not have diabetes
- Kidney function is adequate (eGFR 45 or higher)
