Gamma Knife treatment for both-sided essential tremor

This study tests a focused radiation procedure (Gamma Knife) to treat the opposite side of the tremor in people with essential tremor. It may help improve tremor-related quality of life if your side that wasn’t treated before is still causing problems.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with essential tremor (ET) by a movement disorder specialist
  • You had a Gamma Knife thalamotomy on one side more than 12 months ago
  • Your untreated (other) side tremor significantly affects your daily quality of life
  • You want treatment on the other side
  • You can attend all required follow-up visits
