Who can take part
- You are an adult (18 or older).
- Your doctor recommends left atrial appendage closure (LAAC), and you are having the procedure by a catheter (percutaneous LAAC) at Gottsegen National Cardiovascular Center during the study dates.
- You can understand the study and sign informed consent, and you have legal ability to make decisions.
- You are not pregnant.
- You do not have certain stomach/esophagus problems or active bleeding in the esophagus (for example, significant narrowing or an active bleed).
- You do not have certain heart or health situations such as a clot in the appendage, very poor kidney function, a life expectancy under 12 months, an active infection, severe mitral valve narrowing, a mechanical heart valve, or a need for open-heart surgery.
