Who can take part

  • Your stroke was an ischemic stroke (not from bleeding) caused by plaque in a large artery, confirmed by symptoms and imaging (CT/MRI/other scans).
  • You have artery narrowing in the “superior arch” area: either symptoms from that narrowing (>50%) or no symptoms but severe narrowing (>70%).
  • Your brain scan (CT or MRI) does not show bleeding, including a bleed that turned an ischemic stroke into bleeding.
  • You do not have a severe other medical illness expected to limit survival to less than 3 months.
  • You can provide ongoing follow-up information (so the study can track you over time).
