Exercise program to improve arm recovery after stroke

Who can take part

  • You had a one-sided stroke at least 6 months ago
  • You can raise your affected shoulder about 20 degrees while straightening your elbow about 10 degrees
  • Your arm movement is moderately limited (not too mild and not too severe)
  • Your passive joint movement in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers is close to normal (within 20 degrees)
  • You can do testing in English and follow 3-step directions, and you can communicate enough for the therapists to assess you
