Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your bone loss is from a traumatic injury (not from a tumor).
  • Your care team says you are eligible for the induced membrane surgical technique.
  • You do not have a weakened immune system or take medicines that suppress your immune system.
  • You do not have certain long-term inflammatory conditions (like diabetes or inflammatory bowel disease).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding. (Also applies if you can become pregnant, based on study screening.)
