Who can take part

  • Your baby was born at 36 weeks or later
  • Your baby’s birth weight was 2.5 to 4 kg
  • Your baby is between 6 and 72 hours old when the treatment starts
  • An ultrasound of the heart (echocardiogram) confirms persistent lung blood pressure problems
  • Your baby needs a breathing machine (mechanical ventilation) and has high oxygen needs (OI > 30 on two checks)
  • Your baby can start treatment after consent is obtained
