Who can take part

  • A clinician must decide you would benefit from inhaled nitric oxide and choose this device for your newborn
  • Your newborn must be admitted to the hospital’s Neonatology unit
  • Your newborn must have pulmonary hypertension and need breathing support now or soon
  • Your oxygenation index (OI) must be at least 8 before starting treatment
  • A parent or legal representative must sign informed consent after understanding the benefits and risks
