Melatonin for high blood pressure in the lungs of newborns
Treatments studied
Part of Genetic & congenital, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This trial tests whether giving melatonin to full-term newborns with high blood pressure in their lungs (pulmonary hypertension) can help improve their breathing and oxygen levels. It may offer a new treatment option for babies with this condition.

This study tests whether breathing in magnesium sulfate and giving sildenafil can improve breathing and lung blood vessel pressure in newborns with persistent pulmonary hypertension. It may help newborns who are having trouble oxygenating despite being on a ventilator.
This trial tests whether giving a gas called inhaled nitric oxide helps newborns with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia breathe better and improve lung blood pressure. It's a type of treatment often used to help with lung problems in babies.
This study collects information on how well a medicine called treprostinil works and how safe it is for newborn babies with pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs). It is for babies who have already received this treatment as part of their regular care.
This study tests a specific type of breathing machine (ventilator) that adjusts air pressure to help newborns with persistent pulmonary hypertension breathe better. It aims to see if this method improves oxygen levels and outcomes for babies needing mechanical ventilation in their first week of life.
This trial tests whether inhaled nitric oxide gas can help full-term newborns who have severe breathing problems and high blood pressure in their lungs. It aims to improve oxygen levels and reduce the need for more intensive support.
This study tests whether changing oxygen targets in preterm infants with high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension) helps their heart and lungs work better. It may help doctors find the best oxygen levels for these babies.
