Who can take part
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of sickle cell disease (types like HbSS, SC, or certain other variants) from lab testing (HPLC or hemoglobin electrophoresis).
- You are age 18 or older.
- You can understand the study and sign consent.
- In the past 12 months, you had at least 2 vaso-occlusive crises that led to a visit to a clinic, ER, or hospital.
- If you take certain sickle cell medicines (hydroxyurea, L-glutamine, crizanlizumab, voxelotor, or erythropoietin-type injections), you’ve been on the same dose for at least 12 weeks and plan to keep it unchanged.
