Who can take part
- You are 18 to 69 years old.
- You have primary plasma cell leukemia (a specific blood cancer diagnosis).
- You can get high-dose melphalan and an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT).
- Your body has to be in safe-working order: bilirubin and liver enzymes are not too high, and kidney function is adequate (creatinine clearance at least 20 mL/min).
- Your heart, infections, and other illnesses must be controlled enough to safely take study medicines.
- If you can become pregnant or can father a child, you must use effective birth control exactly as required during the study and for 90 days after the last dose, or you must be truly abstinent as allowed by the study rules.
