This study measures how well your nerves and muscles work together to see if it can serve as an early sign (a “biomarker”) of ALS. It may help doctors track ALS more accurately, especially in people who already seem to have ALS based on nerve testing.

Who can take part
- You have weakness in an arm or leg, or problems like stiff/spastic walking, muscle shrinking, twitching, swallowing or speaking trouble, or breathing trouble
- You are between 20 and 90 years old
- Your ALS diagnosis level matches Awaji “Possible,” “Probable,” or “Definite” (without IMC) based on prior tests
- You do not have significant loss of feeling (sensory loss) in the weak or stiff areas
- You can do the study tasks and agree to give informed consent
- You are not taking baclofen or sedating medicines like benzodiazepines
