Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older and able to sign and date consent
- You should be well enough for treatment (Karnofsky score 60 or higher)
- Your diagnosis must be a malignant primary cancer or cancer that has spread to the brain
- Your brain MRI must show a main brain metastasis that is clearly outlined and can be removed by surgery (up to 4 cm)
- You must be able to have an MRI and be able to take steroid medicine
- Blood tests must be adequate (platelets >100, INR <1.3, hemoglobin >7.5)
