- You are over 18 years old.
- You have confirmed invasive breast cancer from a needle biopsy.
- Your cancer stage is in a range where doctors expect you may need shrinkage before surgery, or later surgery if it’s initially hard to remove.
- You can do normal daily activities fairly well (ECOG 0–1).
- Your blood and organ tests are within allowed limits (white blood cells, platelets, and hemoglobin; and liver/kidney function).
- You can have proper scans to check for spread to other parts of the body.
