Who can take part

  • You have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
  • You are a woman between 18 and 70 years old.
  • Your cancer is HER2-positive (a specific protein marker).
  • Your tumor is at least 2 cm or has spread to nearby lymph nodes (stage T1c N1-2 or T2-4 N0-2).
  • You have not had chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or immunotherapy for breast cancer in the last 4 weeks.
  • You have not had cancer treatment with certain immunotherapy drugs (like anti-PD-1 or anti-CTLA-4) before.
  • Your heart, liver, kidney, and blood cell counts are within normal limits (you'll have tests to check).
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and agree to use birth control if needed.
