Who can take part

  • Be age 50 or older when you sign consent
  • Have severe (or worse) tricuspid valve leaking confirmed by an echocardiogram
  • Be in NYHA heart failure class III or IV (symptoms with limited activity or at rest)
  • Have good left-heart pumping (left ejection fraction 50% or higher)
  • Be considered high-risk for tricuspid surgery (heart team judgment, euroSCORE II 7 or higher)
  • Not have certain heart or medical problems, like high lung pressure, prior tricuspid valve replacement, or active infection
