  • You had a stroke that affected the left side of the brain
  • At least 1 month has passed since your stroke diagnosis or onset
  • You are 18 years or older and right-handed
  • You can read and understand English well enough for testing
  • You can do language and thinking tests without major hearing, vision, or thinking problems
