Check a scalp sensor to detect brain swelling after injury

Who can take part

  • You have had a recommendation to get an EVD (a drain) placed to monitor brain pressure after TBI
  • Any scalp cuts or wounds are not considered contaminated
  • You do not have a known serious infection in your body
  • You (or your caregiver) can communicate in English
  • You do not have a bleeding/thinning problem that cannot be corrected
