Who can take part
- You have had a persistent limp (worse when standing) for at least 12 months after your hip replacement
- Tests (ultrasound or MRI) show a tear or pull-off injury of the gluteus medius tendon
- Your leg lengths are nearly equal, with a difference of less than 1 cm
- Your hip bone alignment difference (femoral offset) is within 25%
- You do not have a neuromuscular condition that affects nerves or muscles
