Who can take part

  • You have a torn Achilles tendon, injured within the last 2 days, and the tear is in the middle part of the tendon.
  • You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other active implant in your body.
  • You have never torn your Achilles tendon on either side before.
  • You do not have diabetes, nerve or blood vessel disease, or take medication that suppresses your immune system.
  • You can understand instructions and give your consent.
