Study genes after COVID vaccine side effects

Vaccine Adverse Reaction

Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This study looks at genetic information to better understand why some people develop serious side effects after a COVID-19 vaccine, such as GBS, blood clotting with low platelets (VITT/TTS), or heart inflammation (myocarditis/pericarditis). Your information may help researchers learn who is at higher risk and improve future safety.

  • You developed one of these after vaccination: GBS, VITT/TTS (a specific blood-clotting condition), or myocarditis/pericarditis (heart inflammation).
  • If you are not in the side-effect group, you must have received a COVID-19 vaccine and NOT have had GBS, VITT/TTS, or myocarditis/pericarditis.
  • You must be able to understand the study and give consent to participate.

Track safety after COVID-19 vaccination in adults

This study follows adults who have already received a COVID-19 vaccine to monitor side effects and safety over time. Your participation helps researchers understand how the vaccine affects different people who are at higher risk due to their work.

Study of heart inflammation after COVID-19 vaccination in Norway

This study looks at people who may have developed myocarditis or pericarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle or the lining around the heart) shortly after a COVID-19 vaccine. It compares their health records to vaccination records to understand who is affected and when, which may help improve future care.

Gene changes in long covid patients

This study looks at how COVID-19 changes your genes, which might explain why some people have long-lasting symptoms. If you join, you'll provide a blood sample, and the results could help us better understand long COVID.

COVID vaccine heart inflammation symptom registry

This study is a “registry,” meaning it collects medical information about people who develop possible heart inflammation after a COVID-19 vaccine. It may help doctors understand how often this happens and which findings are linked to it.
