Who can take part

  • You can sign written consent and are willing to join the study
  • You’re between 18 and 75 years old, any sex
  • You have decompensated cirrhosis (a serious complication of cirrhosis) and a MELD score of 15–30
  • In the last month, you do not have active bleeding from swollen veins, obvious severe brain confusion, hard-to-control fluid buildup, or hepatorenal syndrome
  • You do not have an uncontrolled severe infection, and your kidney, sodium, and white blood cell levels are not severely abnormal
  • You’re not having certain major risks (like recent TIPS/stent, recent alcohol non-stop use, pregnancy, severe allergies, recent stem-cell therapy, or active drug dependence)
