Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Your liver disease must be at an early stage of decompensated cirrhosis with a MELD score under 16.
  • You cannot have severe fluid buildup in the belly (Grade III ascites) or advanced liver disease (Child C).
  • You should not have had variceal bleeding in the past 3 months or have certain infections like spontaneous bacterial peritonitis.
  • You must not have liver cancer, kidney injury, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
